Our Mission
Serving the Church by protecting life, supporting its mission, and preparing those called to stand in the gap.
6:8 Safety Foundation exists to bridge the gap between cost and education by reducing the financial burden on churches. We accomplish this by sponsoring the training and development of safety teams, and by providing the tools, training aids, and resources necessary to protect and preserve life and promote safety within their church communities.
Our primary mission will always be to spread the Gospel. Alongside that mission, we seek to equip capable, prepared protectors who can safeguard the innocent while the Church carries out its calling.
Why 6:8
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me.’” — Isaiah 6:8
This foundation is built on the belief that some are called not only to serve, but to stand in the gap when it matters most.
Why This Matters
Churches are called to be places of peace, worship, and community. But they are also entrusted with the care of the people who walk through their doors.
Preparation is not a lack of faith, it is a form of stewardship.
We believe being ready to respond in moments of crisis is part of caring well for the people God has entrusted to us.
Our Approach
We believe safety in the church should be handled with both competence and care.
Our approach is grounded in real-world experience, but always aligned with the mission of the church. We are not here to create fear or overcomplicate things—we are here to help churches be prepared, responsible, and capable of protecting the people entrusted to them.
We also believe that safety should never become a distraction from the Gospel. An overly visible or heavy-handed approach can unintentionally shift focus away from the purpose of the church.
Our goal is to help develop capable, prepared protectors who serve quietly in the background—present, aware, and ready—stepping forward only when needed, with professionalism and precision.
Our Vision
Our vision is to see churches equipped, supported, and confident in their ability to protect and care for their communities—without compromising their identity or mission.
We aim to remove barriers, provide access, and build partnerships that allow churches of all sizes to be both welcoming and prepared.
